3M™ Potato Dextrose Agar

Description: Medium used for the cultivation and enumeration of yeasts and molds

Composition: (typical formula g/L) 
Dextrose
Agar
Soluble Potato Starch 
Potassium Phosphate, monobasic 
Potato Protein 
Yeast Extract
Final pH 5.6 ± 0.2 at 25°C Adjust pH as required to meet performance criteria

Preparation of Medium: 
Suspend 39 g of the powder in 1.0 L of purified water. 
Mix thoroughly. 
Heat with frequent agitation. 
Boil 1 minute to completely dissolve powder. 
Autoclave at 121°C for 15 minutes
